Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Happy Thankgiving. Its just a day. I have very little of my former life left. But I may make it another day. And my pets have food. And tomorrow I may go to a food bank and get some for myself.
Is there a specific issue (outbursts of anger, inablity to communicate, depression) that led her to leave, you to seek help with the PTSD? If so, if you're able to make progress towards controling that issue, then there might be hope.
She might be waiting to SEE that progress. Many people seek help when a divorce is threatened, but then back off if the relationship is restarted.
It needs to be a wake up call that YOU need help for YOU. And YOU are worth the help.
I'd say continue with the therapy. Then after a month or so contact her and ask about the chances. I wouldn't ask before then. Asking and asking now, will only drive her away.
Best of luck,
Patti
