The loneliness can be very troublesome indeed! I have very few single friends. The ones that are married or long term friends were all made with stbx and in his military circles.
I would like to just talk to someone over a cup of coffee. my advice to anyone is don't put all your eggs in one basket and expect them to always be there.
When I wasn't at work I was home with my ex and the kids. Why, because that's where I wanted to be. They were my future and I didn't need friends to hang out with alone. I had plenty of friends, but they were friends of us as a couple.
