Personaly I could NEVER do that to anyone. I know the pain and the heartache I felt when I found out my stbx was cheating on me. I could never to that to do anyone else.

In my opinion, if the person is married they are off limits. If they have an issue in their marriage they need to deal with it and leave me out of it.

I would never go with a married man. Women always want to hurt each other but not the person to blame (the man). I know what that feels like and I would not like another woman to feel what I felt... only if it is the OW:)

I would never sleep with a guy who is in a relationship, even if it was just a girlfriend.

I was cheated on for many many years. Nothing I could prove but I just knew. It destroyed me as a person. I never ever did anything in 17yrs of marriage. I've now been seperated 7mos and close to divorce. A few days ago I met someone totally perfect. I couldn't believe my luck. He was everything I wanted. We spent hours together. I was soooo lonely that I didn't spend too much time finding out the really important stuff. So, when it came to light that the "perfect" guy was married I was floored. I was so torn. This is something I would never do. Never. But I was so mesmerized by him by this time. Yes, I did get to know him better. I was totally disgusted with myself the next day. I don't know how I brought myself to stoop that low. I have not stopped thinking about his wife. I don't think about him or what happened. I think about her. I don't know her at all. But I think I can't believe I did something to hurt someone the same way I was once hurt. I did not do it to spite what was done to me. On the contrary, I totally regreted doing it because it was done to me. I think I am more lonely today because of that incident. I need to take better care of myself and my heart.

I could never cheat or be with a married man! I wouldn't be able to live with myself. I find nothing exciting or fulfilling about doing that to someone else.

However, the last few days I've been thinking of how I could get revenge on the OW for what she did. I met her several times and could always tell she was after my husband, even when she was still married. This is the only person I ever felt this way about in 7 years. She waited until there was a weak point in our marriage and dug her claws in by playing the supporting friend to him. My hate for her and her coniving ways grows stronger every day. Sometimes I just want to send her hate mail or or call her and yell at her, but what good would that do?

Nor would I cheat with a married woman because of two reasons I couldn't / wouldn't want to be a factor in ending someone else's marriage, and if this person would cheat with you is it really someone you'd want to be with?

No, I would NOT want to cheat with a married woman! That would put me in the same category as my stbx. I have more class than that!. I WOULD NEVER be responsible for breaking up a marriage. That is not me nor does it represent what i stand for.

This thought and behavior has always baffled me. What really makes someone think it is ok to act out and get revenge on someone? What makes someone think that their vengfull actions are less damaging than the actions from the other person? I think it really makes their actions worse!! They go into a situation with the thought of taking something to extremes to get revenge. It takes a real twisted person to think that is ok or less than the other person. I could NEVER do something like that. It really shows someones character that behaves that way.

I agree with the majority. I know how it feels to be cheated on; how could I ever do that to someone else? I want to live my life with inegrity and morals, just makes so much easier on the conscience. Furthermore, I believe in what goes around comes around.

At one point I thought about being w/ my stbx - so that he was cheating on her - but now he just grosses me out to think of him that way.

I personally don't think too much of someone who would knowingly cheat with someone they know is married. I consider it a lack of morals.

Well, my stbx was cheated on in her first marriage (while she was pregnant) and then he left her after the baby was about 9 months old. Despite knowing that pain herself, she had no problem cheating on me and has never equated it as the same. She wanted a "trial" separation and used that as a springboard to have a relationship with a guy she was already involved with (at least emotionally). So, she rationalized, it wasn't really cheating. Sorry, that didn't fly in my book. I guess you just never know where someone's mind is at or if their viewpoints will change down the line. I've heard of people that had a cheating spouse and took revenge by "cheating back". I just don't see the point in lowering one's self to other's low standard.

Well it's crossed my mind, but that's not me. I would never be able to do that to somebody,especially someone I love. I know my mind is clear and have no regrets in my relationship.
