Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
What people have to remember is that the other person is not in front of you so you can not see how much they are hurting. If they were reactions would be different. Also you are dealing with people who you would never meet or might not be friends with in real life. ( besides the meetups ) If I dont want to comment I dont If I think something is fishy with what you are saying I will call you on that.
But hey, that's just me. I keep feeling like I'm in the minority.
just as in real life, we tend to gravitate to those we most relate to. and, often we don't say the things that will console the best. but, we try and that's all that we can do.
Nowadays, the boards are full of doubt, someone sending PM's causing more drifts and those who will choose to blinded or is it that is a comfortable place for them to be? Denial of the obvious? *shrugs*....this place is not the same because of one. Sad but, when the wolf has an excellent tailor, he/she will continue to ravage.
I have seen great supporters become so enraged that they became hostile. I have seen newbies become scared. I have seen PM's sent from the said malignancy that shows the vile style. To me, the spirit of this forum has been taken away. But, it is up to each of us to rebuild....to arise from the ashes and stop allowing those that won't own up to expose themselves as they have...
I have been vocal and I've shared my frustration not only to that malignancy openly on the threads but, now, I'm just back to reevaluating things and to continue to pay it forward as my momentum must be taken back....and only I can do that.
*finger to the cancer*
Waits to be banned.
Do I act like a moron on occasion? yup. Do I help others here? I like to think so. And, yes, I say FUCK on occasion.
BUT...I said this to someone yesterday...and I stick by my fucking words:
The nonsense around here is getting too much...and way too much of it is "behind the scenes". If EVERYONE got all the shit out in the front, in the threads...this most likely could have been resolved long ago.
I know 2 women from here who reeeeeally went at each other on here for a while, and very harshly...and are now friends...they worked all their shit out with help and input form everyone else here...like a Support GROUP Site is supposed to work.
We're all human...we get a bug in our ass sometimes...we say stupid shit we shouldn't have...but intelligent, good people can act like adults...or they should be able too. Life does not have to be perpetual High School bullshit.
Suspend me, ban me, shove hot pokers up my ass...I'll be done with this place when I say I am...NO ONE puts baby in a corner...
I'm not sure if its the stage I'm in in my divorce (limbo) or if its because of people getting banned. I found this site early on extremely helpful and supportive...still supportive for sure, but for me I don't find the support I need. Again, it may just be because I am in limbo and there really isn't much to be said...but chug along...which is what I'm trying to do. But there are certainly times where I come on here and I'm like...yeah....I have nothing to offer nor am I getting anything. I'm not saying I'm at the point that I think I need to move on...essentially I'm still in the early stages of my divorce and I know there is still good advice that I can be given...but right now at this juncture...yeah I've got nothing...which goes to your point everyone is at different stages...so who knows what to say to people.
IS. IT. WRONG.
@ L...you've got a support system here, and other places, we're always gonna be there for ya
@ Mamacita...put up or shut up....where's them knockers? LMAO
