Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I am so sorry that you are hurting so. Allow yourself to grieve and to feel all that you are feeling.
You WILL find someone better. You will. After you have gotten through this, you will know what you will and will not put up with. What you need out of a relationship.
It is so easy to think about the great things and memories. We often forget about the things that are not right. He is a liar. You don't want to be with a liar. There are other things about him that you did not like. Think about THOSE things and remember that you are far better off without him in your life, although you are hurting and struggling right now.
Things will get better and you wil think about him less. It's been two and a half years since I have been with my husband and I find myself thinking of him quite a bit lately, but nothing like I did in the beginning. (It's hard, though. Especially after I have dreamt about him.)
You'll get through this. We will get through it together.
Keep posting and letting us know how you are doing. We are all here for you.
You don't think you will find anybody better than a pathological liar who threatened you?
Best of luck. xoxo
As you build up YOU, and are comfortable being YOU in any given situation, then you will stop comparing him to others. Remind yourself you got out...remind yourself he was a liar and no good for you...HE is exactly what it sounds like you DON'T need in your life.
If you contacted him, you would likely be met with coldness and more lies.
We may never find someone better with our exes... but I'd rather be alone than with someone who constantly betrayed my trust and played me for a fool. Maybe you need to take a break from dating?
I know this place well.
No distraction is enough. No hole too deep, no darkness too dark, no distance too far to just get away.
As cliche as is may sound, and I wish I believed my own words, but we carry the same wound. And I'm told it gets better. I'm told time heals. I'm told someone will love you for you. When the time is right. Just make room for it. Don't look for it. Let yourself grow.
