Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I also feel the same way about my friends. They've got to be getting tired of me bitching all of the time.
This guy sounds like he wants his cake and eat it too. Wants to keep you around on the outside if his other endeavors don't work out. Be careful with that, and continue to vent here.
I also know what you mean by friends being over it. I only have a few friends who actually accept my impending divorce, the others just kinda tolerate it, and sidestep it. The ones who care most, well at this point I just give them the big picture stuff, the drama stuff. It's a pretty slow and torturous divorce thus far, I'm bored by it myself.
I've been extremely lucky to work in an environment with a lot of women, many of whom are divorced. No one has given me crap about last minute days off work or using the fax machine to send something to my lawyer. Many people at work have walked in my shoes. I can usually forget home life when I'm at work so it doesn't interfere so much.
I understand, I too faced break-ups many times. What kept me going was knowing that the correct person for me is still out there. The truth is it takes an act of faith to feel normal. I developed friendships but still felt alone. I joined groups, I was interested, in and that gave a distraction. It wasn't until I moved out the state that I started to feel normal again. The act of faith of taking one something I never had done before it what changed me from feeling abnormal, going outside the box, facing something with only faith as my guide is what changed me, and it was because I didn't feel alone anymore, but that God was with me. Which was huge, because not only did I find peace, I found someone that I could cure their loneliness to be with. I did say that correctly to, Relationship is about curing someone else's loneliness, my needs but theirs. This is what faith taught me, by stepping out.
