Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
But as you have this plan in place, she is correct. Wintertime with the kids, you have no input and no influence.
Stupid Siri doesn't listen.
Thanks
idk if this will help you or not. i am new to the whole divorce thing. but i remembered coming across something in my research called "the right of first refusal." it is a clause you can have put into your divorce/custody agreement. i have no clue if it applies to your situation or not, but maybe you could research it if it is of any interest to you. explanation taken from:
http://divorcesupport.about.com/od/visitation/f/rightoffirstrefusal.htm
"Basically, right of first refusal means that before a parent can use the services of a daycare, sitter or relative they must give the other parent the option to be with the child. If your ex is not going to be with your child, you want the opportunity to spend that time with the child."
like i said, idk if this would apply or work for you, but i had to share just in case. big hugs to you!
Don't ask or tell her as it appears she will only interfere because you said something. Its unfortunate that she is not really thinking of what would be good for the kids.
