the only way to really solve money issues is to get a job other than hiring an attorney to gain child support and whatever else you may feel entitled to after 10 years of marriage. everything is a negotiation..he may have taken your name off the accounts but that really does not mean squat....get your negotiations in order and figure out what he wants and start the negotiating is my advice. its still give and take no matter how much people try to grab for the power.

It is not unusual for spouses to take gamblers off banking accounts so they do not run through all of the family money. It is also common for spouses to take over control of all money from gamblers so they do not deplete all the family money. Gamblers are irresponsible when it comes to money because they have an addiction.

You have an addiction that you need to address and right now your concern is to get on the gambling prevention boards instead of divorce. Addiction is your first concern.

The only way to get any money out of him would be to take him to court for divorce. The judge will set an amount at the first hearing for child support and maintenance for you, since you don't work. Not sure because of the length of the marriage if you would be entitled to any support from him long-term, other than child support (if the kids are his). You should probably first look into getting a job so you can support your self, at least a little, and then make an exit plan. I would consult with an attorney first to see what you're entitled to.

"Astimegoesby" I think has hit the nail on the head here! Your husband has removed you from the accounts because if he did not, there would be nothing let, for him or your kids!. It is time for you to get a job and start supporting yourself. If you have spent as much money at gambling as you said in other posts then likely your husband has this documented and since you were not working this was money he brought in to support his family and you blew it.
