I am 18 years old and have only been into two relationships. The first relationship I was in was short lived, and based more on lust than love...lasting only a few months.
However, I am now in a relationship that is, or seemed to be, based on love. It started as talking online and the phone for several months, and being together (long distance, I traveled) for several more --for a total of about 9-10 months. It has been intimate and seen as serious.
Here's the thing ... The more and more I am with/get to know this person, who at one time I had and still have extreme feelings for, It seems to have been lost or dying. ... I felt like I rushed into this and am starting to be annoyed by the other person in this relationship.
The person has told me over and over "I love you forever...do you love me forever?" "Will you be with me forever?" And I would reply "Yes." But the more and more I think about it...I don't believe I want to be with them forever.
I think I rushed too much with this relationship...(I have always been impulsive)... I don't know anymore. I think I feel love for this person, but I can't stand them at the same time. ...
Physically, I have only a little attraction to them. But this has been the only person who has cared for me fully and completely. So for that, I suppose I love them.
But physical attraction is very important to me. And I have only the slightest bit to the other. ...The person's interests and habits have become annoying to me. I do not feel very happy to be with them much anymore...And it seems like we are not compatible.
The other person is very much in love with me and says that I have been the only person who has ever loved them truly...and They said that "If I were to leave" that it would kill them. ...The person has a history of depression, and seems very depressed and even mentions suicide at times.
The person has a rough life and they say things like: "I make everything better"....etc...but I am getting tired of being with this person.
I think I may want to break up with them .... but I am going to wait a few more months. I am not going to rush the end, even if I rushed the beginning.
But if I do break up with them ... I am worried. Will they really kill themselves? Are they going to hurt themselves? Will they be able to handle it?
I am worried and unsure how to breakup with this person. ...I do not know how to explain myself...
But more than anything I am worried about if the person will kill themselves. They have been on antidepressants before, and one time I talked to them...they said: "If you leave me it will kill me." "Don't leave me." ...
If anyone has some advice on what I should do...If I decide to break up with this person I would appreciate it....

From what I read it sounds like your partner is controlling and could be a very abusive partner down the road.
If he threatens self harm when you break up with him call police in your area and they will let the right people help him. You do not owe the rest of your life because you said yes to keep the peace.

being blindsided sucks
They did not understand or believe what I had to say. And that bothered me alot. They thought I was just lying.
They just called me a coward and told me to pick up my stuff and never talk to them ever again.
...Am I really a coward for doing this? I tried my best to explain myself to them.

It sounds to me like you possibly "fell in love" with the fact that someone was in love with you.
Good luck to you, you still have all kinds of time in front of you to find the right person for you.
You made your decision, stick with it and savor life without entering a situation where you end up in the same dishonest web. You were dishonest with you but not anymore!
