My appointment was this morning at legal services and I talked the the attorney about a restraining order. She called my ex's probation officer and talked to him and talk about good timing the probation officer was on his way to talk to my ex when she called him. After filling him in, the probation officer was going to be telling my ex that he was to have no direct or indirect contact with me.
So for now that is where we stand. If after being told my probation not to contact me I get any more messages I am supposed to contact the attorney again and we would probably go for an order then. She seemed to think the physical distance (3 hours) between us and the probation officer would be enough to deter him. We will see.

Z, I definitly will. I have the attorney's card in my wallet so I know where it is and if for whatever reason he ever would decide to show up at my house the cops will be called.
I am doing what is best for me and not about to play any games with someone who obviously has problems.
