Has anyone else ever had the problem that when you are having good times you still can't enjoy them as much as you should because you worry about the low spots that will come in the future.

My best friend is home on leave from the Air Force, and last night we were sitting around the fire and talking about all the stuff we used to do and laughing. I mean the kind of laughter that causes your stomach to hurt. But in the back of my mind I worry that the better I feel now the worse it is going to be when the roller coaster takes a downward turn.

Girlie, enjoy the good times. Laughter lightens the heart and is a natural anti-depressant. Take every moment of joy and fun, and embrace it. In the end, the downs won't be so down, and the ups, will last longer.

Enjoy every minute of it. It's good to enjoy the good things in life. It's good for you too! Find those fun moments, and take advantage every chance you get.

Yep. I've been pretty good at getting out and having fun, but those good times are always a bit overshadowed by these types of thoughts and feelings. I think it's just being human. And that it will fade over time. Sorry you're feeling this way too. ((((Hugs))))

I try not to think about it. I know that a good day or a good spot of time will not last, but I try to take in as much as I can to build reserves when the next dip comes.

Yep I know that feeling/ have had it quite a bit...now I try to embrace the good times...because you tend to dwell on the bad ones...so cherish those good times and run with it.. We all need to find our smile from day to day....
