Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I remember being 21. I look back and wonder why I didn't do then, what I'm doing now. And I remember then, looking at people who had it all and thinking that it wasn't fair. Well, mom and dad will get you only so far in life. Then you have to go to work, or school and do it yourself. I've seen people make it through the armed forces, through school, through becoming a trucker (guy's my age and makes 80k/yr), and make other ways.
The key is being reliable. And starting at the bottom. For me, that's literal. I'm changing adult's briefs (diapers) and working on being a RN. I'll make it because I won't quit. And I sleep with the darned notecards even though it's summer and school isn't in session. So I'll make it. Success is hard.
I wish that I'd worked at it from your age. But I didn't. I could blame many people, but if I was blaming them, I wouldn't be taking responsiblity and doing it now.
And I know people my age, who will Never do it.
Anyway, you can be sad and depressed about your life, (hey I was too), or just do it.
Hugs. (And go Steelers, even though I haven't had time to watch them in two years....missed the super bowl and everything...)
