I just wanted to introduce myself, I have been going through a divorce, which was final 6 months after filing. I'm recovering from a bad marriage that ended when I had a series of strokes. I'm all here though, on the inside..Outside I have some mobility issues (this is for another group)

Separation and divorce or a breakup is hard. I have been down this road before, and I used the coping skills from my last failed relationship before this one to survive this breakup..

But, I did it without online support..And I found that I needed it from day 1..

So I am here to give and hopefully get support for my divorce

Divorce is hard ! I agree with you on that , but it seems like it weighs harder on only one of the two going through it. From what I have seen its usually the one left behind.

We have all played a role in our own divorce whether it be knowing or unknowing. I asked for my divorce and my Ex-wife ran out and filed to make me look like the bad guy just as she did the 18 years we were together. The truth was I spent every day putting up with emotional, physical, and verbal abuse and the only reason I stayed in the marriage that long was for my children. When the abuse started to overflow to them I had to take a stand and stop it.

I believe that going through a divorce makes us stronger and smarter and teaches us to be more careful with our lives and happiness. Life is to short to be miserable!

Thank you. The hardest part for me has been the need for a restraining and boot out order against him. As well as brain damage issues and the medication needed to help with all of the above..This has truly been the hardest breakup/divorce in my life. If I had allowed him to stay, he would have killed me. I'm still learning the new me, post stroke..So, far I me very much

Im sorry you have to go through so much pain. You will find a better place some day and be much happier.
Some people just don't get it. They go through life with no conscience and no care in the world for others and they never see what they do wrong. I have never been able to understand how they can be this way.

Welcome. I'm sorry that your health took a toll. No matter how many times you've been down the road with a separation or breakup, it hurts. Take care of yourself my friend. If you don't no one else will. Hugs to you.

Well I am also going through a break up now, not from marriage but I can only imagine how that feels when you have invested in someone and created that sacred bond I am here for any support that I can give. This is my first time searching for online support I am in hopes that we can all help each other.
