Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
It is difficult for us when our routines are interrupted, especially around the holidays. We're just human. I spent Easter with my three dogs as well (they didn't get Easter baskets, though~ good man!).
I get that some people just aren't "pet people". I just never been involved with one because it wouldn't work for me.
The man I just broke up with had a toy poodle that got him through his divorce and the death of his mom and son. He loves that dog! I didn't find that a threat, but rather a very endearing quality that he could love this dog so much.
Living with someone else who doesn't share your values is hell.
Personally I rather be alone than sleeping with the enemy.
Maybe a break is healthy right now because you love that dog and do you really think someone loves you if they don't accept a part of you that obviously means so much?
In any case, you sound like a wonderful person, and though we all go through those lonely times, I know the light will find you and this will pass.
So, Im' sorry, I call bullshit on what she is saying. I am SURE that those things annoy her and some things she does may annoy you. But deal breakers are if she is allergic to the dog and cant breathe or be around you or the dog cus she will die. Or you are a werewolf and cant cut or get rid of your long hair. Or you are a cheater, serial killer or a Green Bay packer fan. (Ok thats my deal breaker, kidding)
I don't discredit your hurt my friend, so I am sorry you are feeling how you are. I am just trying to keep it real. I am sure if you weren't just trying to appease her so to get her back, you may see there has to be larger issues then just the dog and your hair.
What I do hope is that if you continue to run in to her that you two cna continue to talk. Maybe someday get to the real issue and clear it up so to move on. Whether that is together or apart.
ps. I'm glad you still did Easter with the dog. I am sure it helped a little. It did for me.
