Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Sounds tough. How about finding something else to occupy the time? Instead of calling him, read a book or something to get your mind off it. Not sure how long its been but it does get easier. Hang in there and I wish you the best!!
Your life and your happiness does not revolve around whether or not youre in a relationship. Work on YOU, and the right -and healthy- relationship will follow.
Start learning HOW to make yourself happy. It will be tough at first, but youll establish new routines and be able to focus solely on what you want and enjoy.
Learn something new- knitting, or cake decorating or painting.
Volunteer - animal shelters if you like pets. You can most likely find a list of volunteer opportunities in your area if you google it. Its very rewarding and a great way to meet new people, which can also help occupy your time.
My favorite- Exercise! Youll feel great afterward, youll sleep better, youll enjoy the benefits of the results, and exercise releases endorphins in the brain to relieve stress. You can take a yoga or martial arts class. If youre strapped for cash, running is free.
In the end, youll walk away with new skills that will give you a huge boost to your confidence and self esteem, which is invaluable compared to that which we get in a relationship (especially a broken one).
Good luck :)
Put a rubber band on your wrist, and anytime you think about contact, or going back, snap it.
I'd also look at working on you, and being good enough for yourself, instead of gazing toward being a part of something. You have to be a healthy you, before you become a part of something else.
