Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Wondering the what if's isn't helpful and I urge you to avoid going down that rabbit hole. You'll never know the answer.
Some great ways to work through your emotions without contacting him is to journal. Type or write out how you are feeling, anything and everything. Do this every day. Get out all your feelings, anger, frustration, wishes, hopes, dreams...everything. Get yourself outside for a walk. Force yourself NOT to listen to sad music. Clean a room, organize a room, start a project you've been meaning to. KEEP BUSY.
Breakups suck...no doubt about it. But there are things you can do to help the process along. The sooner you cease contact and work towards healing, the better. Otherwise, you will keep yourself stuck in neverending torture and what fun is that?
(((HUGS))) I PROMISE it will be okay. The pain is temporary. Everything happens for a reason and you will come out better than ever if you give yourself a chance.
My H has brought of things from 23 years ago in our 25+ year relationship and marriage. He doesn't get along with his family, other than superficially, for things that have happened in the past. In listening to a presentation on forgiveness, I realized he doesn't have the ability. True forgiveness, means forgetting as well. Only you can look inside and know...But if he is using your texting from years ago?? or is it just convenient to bring up to help justify his actions?
Good luck to you and know the pain will come and go, just try to end each day with a prayer and know God is there and start each day with a positive thought.
