A those random memories are a killer....

I know where your coming from, I'll be in the middle of doing something with nothing serious on my mind......then (((POW))).....let the memory games begin!

anarazi is right, the memory's can be a killer, to me it's more like a sucker punch to the gut, but I'm trying my best to tell myself when the memory's pop up that their not worth my time, if she choose to leave me, then I can work on choosing to not let her rent space in my head.

But again, a memory can be tough to deal with sometimes!

The worst is when there is nothing in particular that triggers it. Not a smell, or a song, or a picture...it just appears

those are the hardest ones for me, when nothing in particular triggers it, so it's therefore unavoidable.

Yes, the memories that pop up for no apparent reason are so tough. But the memories that pop up for reasons are also tough. All of it sucks. I can be fine one minute, and the next minute I'm crying and can't stop. I hate it.

i want to share my story with you - i am in the middle of a breakup since 1 month - i can not concentrate sometimes on my work-

I have that happen with me regarding my ex. I dont like it, but those memories are apart of my life as much as other memories are. Not much I can do to change or remove the memories so I find ways to make peace with them when the pop up so they arent issues for me to overcome. I have to do alot of effort, but I do manage to make peace with most memories of her that pop up. I dont do things like listen to certain songs to cause memories to pop up. That would be counter productive.

yep, they pop in and out all day. Just when you're doing ok, bam, a thought pops in and has the power to knock you down. So dang frustrating! I have found that if I allow the thought to stay in my head (which then leads to further thoughts, arrggggh is right) then here we go again. Some of the thoughts cause me anxiety and worry and I'm sick of it. It's best to just get rid of the thought as soon as it pops in. Easier said than done some days, but I'm finding, with time, it does get a bit easier! I just wish the thoughts would leave me the hell alone.......don't need them, don't want them and really wish they could go bug someone else for a change!!!

The song that has been in my head these past few days is "Letting go" from the Disney movie Frozen. I'll take this song over the usual song in my head by John Legend, "All of Me" That one is a killer for me.

Yeah, I have not been able to listen to my music for 3 years now. Can't buy jewelry that is a heart or an eternity thing, etc. Ghosts everywhere.
pisses me off.
