Xxxxxxxxxx. I totally get it. I don't think canceling Christmas will make you feel better, I think you will feel worse. It's your decision of course. What would you tell someone in your situation?

I am sorry jac... I can understand how you just don't want to be around people. But I agree with Blondie, you may feel worse if you cancel. I know I have cancelled holiday events just for that reason and it really sucked after the fact.

Thanks. I doubt I will cancel. I have never liked Christmas to start with but this year I am going out on a limb and pushing myself in to it. Even spending some time with family..ugh. I know from experience that wallowing and hibernating for too long is destructive. My brother is getting married in May and part of the reason for the trip is to try and connect with him a little better.

Driving to New Orleans and staying with a friend for a few days. Taking train to Georgia and be with brothers a few days. Train back to new Orleans and then drive home. An awesome trip. If I stayed home all I would do would be sleep and cry. Its a couple weeks away. I should be better by then.

Thats great that you are getting away to be with people that care about you. When someone does not appreciate you for the person you are, then they are not worth your time. I hope you try to have some fun and take care of yourself.....blessings

travel is a great way to get your mind off of or maybe through things you are struggling with. I wish you many blessings and a safe trip .

I say keep the trip, it may do you some good to get your mind on other things. I just found out mine is having an affair and I'm dreading the day when I see them together. I feel for you
