So funny...after all this time I finally realized what the worst part of being alone now is....I need a shoulder to cry on and there isn't one. It's not about him. Just some stuff at work that I'm pissed off about. Can't talk to any of my friends because all my friends right here are from work. I could talk to other friends by email or FB...but the thing is I really, literally need a shoulder right here to cry on and there's nobody. How's that for a kick in the pants. Even thought of going and crying on his shoulder...but of course, can't do that...I'm just gonna go to bed instead...I get so tired of whining. I get so tired of crying myself to sleep.

That's what therapists are for. And they're also good for emotional healing as well. Get one to talk to.

Yes, a therapist is almost a good friend. At least mine is. Do you have a dog or cat? I consider that the next best thing to talking to people. They sit and listen and they can't tell anyone your secret thoughts. They don't interrupt and they can't talk back. I talk to my horses and my dog often to work through a problem.

i have a therapist and she helps. No, the point is that there are times when I want to have someone sitting right next to me so I can cry on a shoulder. Be held. Not something for a therapist to do or help with.

I get what you mean. My dog is a good shoulder for me. but I know what you mean.

I guess you have to take what you have right now in order to get out that stuff about your work. I know, not the same as what will comfort you right now, but it will at least help a little to get it out, even by doing it online.

I get what you're saying. I never, ever had that in my life, so I'm used to not crying on anyone's shoulder. I was always the one building up my husband when he was down. It was never the other way around.

Thanks. I think alot of it right now is because I feel stalled. I joined a water exercise class, but it does not start for 2 weeks. Plan on joining a bowling league, but it's not going right now either. Several plans cooking on the stove..just nothing to occupy myself with right this moment. For awhile it was 2 steps forward, one step back. Right now I feel like all i am doing is sliding backward down the precipice.
