Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I dont think you should put your life on hold! You are a beautiful person that deserves to live a happy life! How do you know you wont miss out on someone so much better then him? I mean if you sit around waiting for him to take you back then you are giving him all the power to decide your life and fate.
I can only comment from living my life and tell you how it worked out. I waited 5 years for someone I thought was my soulmate. In the end she used me BIG TIME and stole money from me promising to pay it back. I ended up devistated, broke, and alone. Not to mention I wasted 5 years of my life for her. :( So you will do what you want to, but I suggest you try to take this time to live your life for yourself and not sit around and wait. Life is too short to waste on someone that makes us the option!
Best of Luck !
I'm in a celebrate recovery group there are a few that are working through abandonment issues so it certainly is not all about addicts although addicts are there also. I work on boundaries and codependency. In this group I have a sponsor that meets with me once a week and accountability people to help me with my boundaries, I exercise every day. I have an amazing place to walk in nature that I love. I also am trying to make time for other things I enjoy although I have three kids right now. I listen to guided meditation and I look for as much support as I can get. You deserve to be valued and have worth in a relationship but you have to start by treating yourself that way. I would go no contact and look up how to do that. If he comes back then decide if you want him. You might find that after working on yourself and loving you again that you don't want a relationship that isn't mutual.
If he says he isn't a good man.....believe him.
