When I was single and had bad breakups I'd think it too. But the memory that every time things eventually got better was enough to know that it was just a phase in my life, and that I would be happy again and look back and laugh at the thought.
I said "Sweetheart you have laughed and smiled and experienced joy in your life. No matter what happens from here, no matter how sad or lost or lonely you feel at any point in your life you have to know that you can and will feels that joy again no matter how bleak this may look at the time.".
Funny me posting this when I feel so lost right now. So afraid of being alone for the rest of my life. I may never get what I am looking for but I know things will get better for me somehow...... It will for you also.
I find if someone can allow me to talk the impulse through without threatening me with legal action ('for my own good") that I m relieved (for a time) of the hopeless feeling that I will always feel broken and alone. Horrible feeling that.
Most people who consider suicide are jut in that much pain. This is not about cowardice as some claim, Rather , it is about the limits of human endurance.
Hang on.
I know it's hard and it hurts so much, but hang in there. It will get better eventually. It will for ALL of us.
