Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I usually don't get this blunt, but there are no complications here. Get him out of your life and let him pay for his crime.
You also said in the post that he was sneaking around with the other girl, but he was bringing her to his parents' home and now that girl is coming to the home twice a week since he is in prison. Again, his parents had graciously allowed you to stay at their home and this is his girlfriend and she is there to support them through this. And you have no say as to the people allowed in his parents' home.
You also said in your post that you're there because you have so much debt. Then it would appear you are healed enough to seek housing of your own and it probably isn't fair to you, your boyfriend or his family to remain there. You can contact your local city social worker and ask them to see if they can arrange for different living arrangements so that you are away from his family and the emotional pain you suffer by seeing his girlfriend there twice weekly, etc.
You said you are getting paranoid and moving will help this. Gettig TBI evaluation and treatment, getting a film to evaluate your brain now, and therapy would be huge pluses in your life. It sounds like it is time for you to move to your own place. The social worker could discuss transportation with you.
Start looking for local support groups that meet in and near your area. Some are groups for disabled and they include TBI (the support group for disabilities here where I live did include TBI), also look for TBI specifically. The city social worker may be aware of those groups for you. They will help you too and provide you with resources also.
Here's your post:
"I'm out on disability, my ex-boyfriend is went to prison last month for causing my injury, he was sneaking around with this girl since October, dumped me and started dating her in December, I'm stuck living here because I have so much debt and rely on his family for rides because my family sucks, he kept bringing her over for months, now he won't let me visit in prison and she's still coming here twice a week. Lately I've been thinking of suicide or cutting myself. I won't commit suicide because I know I'll find better someday, and I won't cut myself because I'm too much of a wimp. I am paranoid about everything tho. How do I shut my brain off? How can I get rid of this emotional pain without causing different pain?"
