So. Let's see. I've been here before. I was married 17 years! Oh ouch how that break up hurt.
I met a man who'd I'd do it right with this time. Older, wiser, we wanted the family that was denied us by our ex-spouses.
HA! Yeah, no. HUGE MISTAKE. 3 years, 1 day married. He rejected my children and made it clear that there was no place in our home for them. Or rather, HIS home. Everything was HIS. Nothing was mine. He even wanted to control my money.
So, number 2 divorce is now on the books. Or in the books. Or whatever.
What have I learned? You can love and live when that love is gone.
I'm alone now and I'm learning to really dig it. I lost so much, I haven't had a "home" in years but I'm alive and I'm loving this self-discovery.
I had a great new friend that I'm exploring the wilder side of my sexuality with and he makes me laugh like no other. The best part? there's no rush, I'm not being pushed into any relationship I'm not ready for. It's comfortable.
Life may not be what you set out to be, promises don't always get fulfilled but you can be fulfilled if you learn to let go and accept.
I do get sad thinking about what I don't have, what I won't have and what time I lost but not for long.
Do what's right for you and no one else. That's my lesson from all of this.

Is their loss - we aren't born joint twins w/anyone - sure, it hurts like hell when people walk away but life is so much more than that one person wanting to leave - if they want to leave - give them that push they need. Nothing worst than holding on to someone who's rejecting us or choosing someone over us - they are not worth our sleepless nights and years of grief. Like you I've lived and been through more than one marriage - I do not feel like I've failed - I fill like I have lived, I have taken chances, I have loved and I survived - I am now also solo - dating @ 45 and loving my freedom. Hate sharing my room and bathroom - so NO! - won't even trying to live w/someone again - LOL.
