They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
My 1st anniversary of the divorce passed last week and I forgot until a few days later. I've moved on... got new things to worry about :/
Everyone grieves differently and for different amounts of time. It's almost three years to the month when I caught her in bed with my cousin. I am just now putting myself out there to date. I won't lie though, I still love her, but I have learned when to draw proper boundaries and the power of No Contact.
We do, what we need to in time. Take your time, so that you don't make the same mistake again, otherwise you waste your time on another mistake. That's the lesson I learned after the end of my second marriage. If I learned it after my first marriage (I let loneliness drive me to bad decisions), then I would have avoided the 10 years wasted on my last ex.
Some people never "own" their mistakes. It's what makes them bad mates to begin with. You may have to come to the realization that even if he ever does, you'll never know about it.
I think you should talk to your family and friends. They are your support line and I highly doubt they will think badly of your for confiding in them. Quite the opposite.
Its hard but one day you will totally forget about it. I know its hard though.
Sounds like you deserve CAKE!
(There should always be cake)
Always.
