Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
I still have difficulty reading harder material, but that is a different part of the brain. The writing problem I continue to have is not a visual one - that one is mostly ok. It's a problem where my brain doesn't know what certain words are.
The hard thing with a TBI is that it's not one injury - it's multiple injuries. I had 3 separate vision injuries.
But for me it's not just handwriting!!! I also have problems with typing! I constantly misspell things! And, I type crazy ass shit!!! It takes me forever to type stuff, cause I'm always typing things wrong or typing shit that don't make no sense!
And, if I'm tired or stressed it's even worse! And, I seem to be getting worse!?
I have all the symptoms of MS & a few docs think that I have that & PCS from the TBI! Wow! My life summed up by initials!
