I have felt the extreme cold but not the shaking tremors you described. I think you are very wise to make sure to talk to your doctor about it.

I've done some research on seizures and there are so many different types. It sounds like it could be but a doctor would know much better than I.

I was told anything you notice different or new should be reported as a precaution as sometimes symptoms do not appear right away.

I had short seizures for a period of months post-TBI. The blanking out kind. They eventually went away.

What you're describing sounds more like tremors but it would take a Neurologist to make the assessment. If you haven't had an EEG done, you could have one done. However, I will tell you that, sometimes the EEG will read that you are having seizures and sometimes it won't. There are people on here who have had full-on grand-mal seizures and yet had "normal" EEGs.

I don't recall what kind of care you are under, but basically, all major symptoms you experience, you should be letting your Drs know during this early stage. A lot of things they will just monitor during this time.

Many things will go away on their own. Which is honestly surprising in many ways. But it's true.

Just be careful. Since you are probably at risk of falling and injuring yourself further. Walk slowly. Hang onto things if need be. Etc.

I have epilepsy. They can only pick up a seizure on a test if you have one during it. Couldnt pick up anything on a few i had, so deliberatley set up the flashing lights thing they had to throw mw into one so could say nuroloically proven. Wasnt much fun. I do get a cold feeling first often.

I, too, get similar tremor episodes like the one you described. I can't really find any rhyme or reason why it happens and I'm not sure if its a seizure. I've have EEG tests done twice that didn't show any seizure activity and during one of the tests I was tremoring.

I find that sometimes I have massive trouble thinking and speaking during the episode. Does this happen to you?

I've had doctors tell me it could be stress or anxiety....

...then again, that's what they seem to label all my complaints.

The silent seizure was almost like a strange part of being overwhelmed. I was mute, and had no shaking with this one. I would not respond to anyone, but I was alert during the whole thing.I felt scarred with this one, and I was scarred.

With the active seizure. This one was more violent, I was convulsing, and unable to control the movements. But I was alert through this seizure as well. I knew what was going on, but I could not speak or control my movements. I was extremely nervous before, in severe uncontrollable pain, and scarred to death, almost in a near panic before this one.

How did you feel mentally with your episode? Were you nervous?

Thank you everyone for your replys. Yes, I am terrified when these happen. My legs, hips, arms, head all shake violently. I do not loose consciousness. I always know when its going to happen, my vision changes and I feel disconnected from reality. I am also very confused after and basically a mess for the next day.
I had a MEG (which is like a EEG) done but UCSD hospital sent me to one of their research doctors. My results came back with damage to 8 areas of my brain. They are now saying that because its "research" its not valid my chart, when they are the ones who sent me. Im so frustrated. They convulsions are severe and I am scared.
