Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
I just feel lost and need to vent. My health insurance is getting cancelled tomorrow and I don't know when I'm getting the forms to fill out again. I just feel lost because I'm angry, and confused by it, and I feel like people don't really care. I'm just at a loss on what to do to get better.
A short gap in treatment is probably not going to affect the outcome of your recovery. It's more the emotional part that is difficult.
After you get the new form, either bring it there in person or call a few days after you send it in, to make sure they've gotten it.
It can feel like people just cae about money at times but do what you can to just get yourself sorted with them and try and find someone to talk too. You are always welcome to talk o us on here.
