Hi Ted, There are four letter words to describe Karl Rove that I don't like to use!!!! He's been smearing people for a living for many years/lying whatever it takes/the true brain sickness IMO is HIM. He lied about how long she was in the hospital and has no clue what a TBI is...like you said he thinks just throwing the word out there will hurt her career and it sickens me too.

I have a neurology Dr in my TBI support group that has TBI and is still in practice. There are those of us who can succeed with TBI, but lonliness is the hard thing for me. I am trying to volunteer my way into a position so I can make friends, stay busy, and improve my TBI. I feel worthless right now, but not because I care what people I don't know and will never meet think. Just people directly impacting my life. Politics is always saying whatever they can to make the opponent look uncredible. Consider the source before you let youself get down. Your too nice. Anita

I understand Anita how Karl Rove is using cheap shots such as TBI as a weapon in this case. And what upsets me about that is in his own way he's telling the world "because of TBI Hillary is incompetent do you really want to vote for her?" Maybe I'm wrong but that's what I'm getting out of this cheap shot Mr. Rove is taking here. And what he's doing is making it clear this certain prejudice exists against those who have gone through TBI.

I understand what he's doing, but he does not speak for everyone. If she is president TBI to my degree would matter. But most of us would not aspire to be president. Please don't let it upset you at all.

Anita, I've been down on my luck ever since this brain injury happened to me for some unknown reason. To hear this lowlife now use TBI as a weapon does nothing to improve my mood. I've always said the toughest thing about this brain injure wasn't the injury itself, especially since I can't remember a thing about it, or being hospitalized, especially since I can't remember a thing about that either. It was basically regaining my motor skills and cognitive thinking to the point where I affirmed my existence again.

Karl Rove is beyond reprehensible, IMO...and obviously brought this up as an early way to attempt to discredit Hillary before 2016...

Having stated that, however, and I have given this a lot of thought:

If she does have a TBI (like us) is she experiencing some or al of the same things we experience everyday? The noise and light sensitivity. Extreme fatigue or confusion. Difficulty reading or slurred speech. Difficulty with gait or judgement. Emotional outbursts or anger. I know because of my ABI I no longer have the ability to be a Nurse...after a 15 year career in the field. Realistically, is this an ongoing problem for her? I can't imagine even being able to withstand the rigours of campaigning in my current condition. Is the Presidency a realistic goal if she is experiencing the same problems we face every day?

yspyg, I know they will have to give her medical records scrutiny, how much detail will be released is an open question, and what really bothers me is the fact that Tbi/Abi is different for everyone and it seems like once again it's barely talked about or disussed. Throwing out the words brings up the worst possible scenario for the republicans, and that's just what Rove wants, IMO....he referenced concussion the other day in the same sentence as Tbi....he's been talking to someone/reading somewhere so as to put big question marks out there.

After Hillary's accident, a short hospital stay and rest, she testified before Congress about what happened in Benghazi. From what I could find/read she really took a grilling, and was very much in charge of details/facts/memory for over 2 hours. The transcripts of her testimony say alot, because she got so many technical questions...her executive functions just IMHO....appeared *right on* and although democrats probably don't want bring it up because republicans won't let it alone, it was a tragedy what happened, but her command of the details for that long, sure doesn't show anything wrong to me.

She has been outfront alot lately, but Rove and others will put out lies....if Hillary's testimony showed a problem, they would have already brought that up...it didn't so they lie...standard operating procedure for them.

I had to give up my career working in a hospital, my brain showed affects right away and although I've improved over the years, I can't do what I used to.

I don't know if she has had any issues from her medical event, but out front in the public eye, it's like she hasn't skipped a beat...I very much hope that's true. Just my thoughts for what they are worth!!

I have no idea how anybody could hide an injury as serious as a brain injury? Especially when you're constantly in the public eye such as Hillary is. If she decides to run for president, that's more evidence in my book that the whole idea of brain injury never happened to her.
