Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
I can't handle those type of things at all. I have to have plenty of time to wrap my brain around it. The planning can get somewhat overwhelming for me, but I usually settle as it becomes a known fact to myself. I generally am able to feel at ease, and better prepared, and focused when I have plenty of warning.
I hope all goes well for you and any future plans for trips. :)
I was a big Fan of "Just in the nick of time" and " Just under the wire" thinking myself when it came to doing my homework and meeting deadlines but not when it came to fun things. Then I took a long time to plan the "FUN".................It was only the crappy stuff that I wanted to do in a hurry. If It were me, I would take the time to make sure I didn't miss anything or anyone, Plus if I was staying at someone elses or if someone else were inbvolved I would make sure and plan around their time availability to ensur I dont missout on siiing them while they work or are on call or whatever. Plus what events are going on that you may wamnt to see? Look online? Call travel agents? They arent expensive and if your going all that way it is worth the investment. Even without TBI it just makes more sense. My brother owned his own companies and would go to other cpountries for a month at a time. I dont know how long they (he and his wife) took planning it, but I know it wasn't last minute. My sister in law has to plan things, so I imagine she handled that. Maybe if you cant or dont want to, you can leave it to the travel agent and have youyr husband approve it.
