OMG, been on Aricept for 5 days the first two days I dealt with an uneasy stomach . I thought no big deal I can handle it, but then came the 5th night I had Charlie horses in my legs all night. Oh Charlie horses are just hill talk for leg cramps. When I got up I had hot flashes and passed out two times. So I called the pharmacy they said Oh you need to stop this med its dropping your b/p , you must fall into the 8% that get these side effects. If you don't stop it will only get worse. and that it would take 24hrs to get it out of my system GREAT TIMES I'M LOVING IT LOL..........

Never heard of it, but looked it up and found this:
"Aricept
(also known as Donepezil)
Donepezil is used to treat the symptoms of mild to moderate, or severe Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil will not cure Alzheimer's disease, and it will not stop the disease from getting worse. However, it can improve thinking ability in some patients"

I hope you can put up with the side effects. I don't remember using any medications to improve my memory 30 years ago after my head injury.

Ohh Red, I've had really low bp...weak,scary, what my doc called * orthostatic hypotension*......years ago.....for me just standing up after laying flat on my back, had to be a super slow process, or I too would get weak, nauseaus, and feel like I was going to faint.....the doc took my bp laying flat.....then had me sit up and took bp again.....I don't remember if she had me stand up......I had lost alot of weight at the time, and so the med I was taking had to be lowered.

Take real good care Red...slow getting up, sitting up, standing up, I wouldn't even get in the shower now...we're here for you! Thoughts and Prayers!!

thinks you guys . I talk with the doc she said to stop the pill and in a month when I see her again we'll decide what we want to try next. But after that touch of fun she going to have to do some fast talk'n to get me to try another med. My oldest sister said the nicest thing in the world to me today. She said " Chester your every bit as normal as the rest of us, if you wouldn't tell people they'd never guess it, so please don't be trying these meds". But she understands how bad I'm wanting to go back to working and truly be seen as a normal person that pays my taxes and bitches about it lol lol lol. Oh but today I've felt great and even put a new roof on my dads garage.

You might talk to your Doctor about a drug called Namenda. I've been on it since my injury in 2011 and so far have had no ill effects.
