The anniversary is often very difficult.
So glad that you are able to see how far he is come. And to be able to journey through the pain to see the triumph.
I have some tears in my eyes right now for you.
Blessings to you & your son as you move forward.
The thing with anniversaries is if we allow them to become down days they always will be but when we decide not to let it be any different from any other day it begins to be more normal. I never thought about the aniversary of my accident. I just decided year one not to let it be special and went out even though I was still sick and did things. I actually can't remember the date now but I have an idea. i wish I could do the same with other things that are bad memories.
You don't have to forget it but I do think its a good thing to try and concentrate on the good things and the future don't hold on to could and would haves as they can never help you.
There's so much to live for. I bet you never thought he would be doing so well now. We can't change whats happened but we can make something out of the future. Good luck
