Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.

Is it possible for the memory to be getting better and holding memories, and then just to start getting shitty again. start having trouble remembering things from day to day all over again... Do I need to call the Doc?????

Hi Redneck. I know my memory ability changes from time to time. Sometimes, I can't remember what I ate for breakfast, and other times, I remember all the words to songs I listened to ten years ago!
Anxiety and stress can make our memories weaken, and so can physical substances, like drugs and alcohol. Which I'm sure you know, and I'm not lecturing! Be patient with yourself, but if you definitely feel like something isn't right with you, then by all means call your doctor! it can never hurt :)

thanks Samantha, last year when I seen my Doc he put me back on Amantadine to help me focus. On the flip side for the first couple months I done good, then I just got to the place that I don't remember to take it. The first of each month the drug store calls to tell me to pick up my meds, and I'm like shit I've not been taking them. A year ago I was able to remember things for a week or two at least, now I'm doing good to remember one day two the next. I've just quite caring, not the best way to look at it I know. I'm coming up on my 5yr alive mark Jan 15 2015.
