Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.

Out of the house of horrors, but in a crammed apartment with my 3 siblings, my pseudo sis, and my baby brother's gf. I'm happier here, but it's not the safest place for my injuries. But I left.

Have you any steps to cope with there? Grab rails in shower etc?

Hugs Alyssa, I'm glad you are safe. When you feel up to it, is an apt a possibility? I can't remember, sorry, if you are on disability...but even with SSI, you could qualify for subsidized housing? Just a thought....try calling the Center for Independant Living and they send out names/towns/phone#s/

Prayers and Positive Thoughts that each day ( maybe earplugs/earphones/sunglasses would help) will be a little better. We're here for you, you are not alone, lots of support from people who understand.
