Brain Injury Support Group
Traumatic brain injury occurs when a sudden trauma causes brain damage. TBI can result from a closed head injury or a penetrating head injury. Symptoms of a TBI can be mild, moderate, or severe, depending on the extent of the damage to the brain. Outcome can be anything from complete recovery to permanent disability or death. A coma can also affect a child's brain.
I know it's early (not quite New Year's yet)...but I wanted to start a thread saying "Happy New Year!"
Thank you for the kindness & support. Thank you for writing posts on the board. I don't know about others on here, but in the past year, this board has been a tremendous gift to me. Even if no one is actively on-line, it feels like people are there, because there are always posts to read & respond to.

You people have got me through some rough places since I joined and shared yourselves with me. That means a lot to me. Hugs to every one of you, and lets share this year together, may it bring improvements and good thing into our lives. Not feeling so alone anymore is very warming. Thank you all.
