A brain tumor is any intracranial tumor created by abnormal and uncontrolled cell division, normally either found in the brain itself, in the cranial nerves, in the brain envelopes, skull, pituitary and pineal gland, or spread from cancers primarily located in other organs (metastatic tumors). Brain tumors may be benign or malignant.

help anyone ever have this?

I dont have a brain tumor ...I'm posting on every brain/ neurology support group in DS cuz I'm very scared For a week now I've been having what I think are a little more than dizzy spells...its not a headache..like I don't feel pain when it happens but I get this pressure like feeling in my eyes where they feel like they go crossed ...and my vision unfocuses and it looks like when u make urself go cross eyed. It gets worse as time passes...like before it was just my eyes but now when the eye thing happens my arms hands and feet don't work right ..like its hard to grasp things and it's harder to move my legs forward or back to walk straight ...the scariest new thing now is my ability to speak when it happens..my speach slurs and I can't talk correctly ....this is freaking me out sooooo muchh! Idk what to do...my dad quit his job so no insurance foe me and my bro and thar means no doctor...last night my mom said to stop being dramatic ...wtf....why wud I make this up? I don't wanna feel like this cuz I'm scared now to talk to people cuz it can happen anytime and I'm scared to drive too ...idk why this is happening :-( I should probably see a neurologist ..cuz a few summers ago one day I woke up and felt tingly and by the end of the week my whole right side was numb...weird shit alwAys happens to me

Could be a myriad of things from a simple virus to something more concerning. You won't know until you go see a Doctor and get a few checks. What I do recommend to help the Doc is keep a note of when and how severe the symptoms are. Also if it worsens, don't hesitate to get to a hospital or medical clinic.

I agree with CoogeeMum. It sounds to me like some kind of seizure. I know there are different degrees of seizures and most have to do with the brain misfiring or not communicating with the body correctly for a short period of time. The only way to know is to get tests and scans done.

That is not so easy without insurance but it is still possible. In the USA you can get enrolled into state funded medical care usually through social security. Do some research online and do the paperwork.

I know you can not put your life on hold and just live in a bubble due to the fear of what may happen. But do try to be safe. If possible don't drive, or limit your driving, you can put yourself and others at risk. Try to be around people that know you and could help if something does happen, and let them know what may happen so they can be ready to assist you. If you are alone, check in with your family or those close to you.

Sometimes when we face something so big and we feel there's nothing we can do we've been overlooking the simple things that can make a big difference.

I agree also. Since you don't have insurance, you could try the health department to see if they can do blood work. I don't know if they charge but I do know that you don't want to drive if your having these spells suddenly. I don't want to hurt (or worse) yourself or someone else. If they continue you may want to go to the hospital. From what I am told they cannot deny anyone medical help if you go in to the er. I would definitely look into it.

I agree with everyone, the only way to know for sure is to see a doctor. Well I'm not from the US. In my country we get free health care.

Sometime ago, while I was still working (I used to teach Special needs children); there was a student of mines that was going through all that you are going through and some other things.

She gets seizures. But this particular day, it looked like a slit stroke.
Your case does sound like a seizure problem. I think you should really try to find a way to get around the system and see a doctor.

hi,well l think you definately need medical attention,l have ben having weird things happen to my right eye,l got a doppler done ,not sure of results and lm going to see an opthomologist,my right side of my head feels pressure,yes its scary when these things happen to you,your life is important get medical treatment,that is not normal to happen,best of luck to you,hope you get it straightened out,please seek medical treatment,as well l had a pulmonery embolism and infracture in march,just got back to work 3 weeks and this is happening,lm scared but getting medical help,all the best to you,your not neurotic forcaring about your health!!!

There are also tumors that grow a type of cartalidge or bone around them that do not show up on an MRI. I have recently had a huge soft tumor found on an MRI and while they were doing surgery they discovered I had a hard tumor It is following the way my skull is growing. Chondrosarcomas and a couple of other kinds of tumors are like this they grow along long bones or flat bones and they are hard to detect. They did not know I had the hard tumor in my head until they operated on me to get out the soft tumor. The hard one has started growing through my bones and they had to add a filler. They can not remove my hard tumor because my arteries are wrapped around it. I hope you get some answers soon.
