Support for those suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder. Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a serious mental illness characterized by pervasive instability in moods, interpersonal relationships, self-image, and behavior. This instability often disrupts family and work life, long-term planning, and the individual's sense of self-identity. Originally thought...
Just remember, though, you are NOT alone!!! We all suffer(those of us who have this disorder), even if we find out disorders to be of some amusement, because not all days are good days. Hopefully you'll find the right treatment and the right meds that will help you control your symptoms. :)

You may not be able to condition a logical response, although you try, while having a highly emotional reaction that just seems to override any kind of logical thought process. Thus you suffer confusion.
Until you learn to slow down the emotional component, it may well be impossible to think things through. This is like trying to speak with someone on the cell phone in a loud room of boisterous people. In addition, your own internal messages interfere with your logical processes as well.
On a serious note though..reducing vulnerabilities is a way to slow down the emotional component of borderline. It is taught in dbt and ways to work on doing so, thus to bring us back to our" reasonable( logical) mind. It is hard, but I've gotten better at it. :) Practice:)
"Reasonable Mind" does sound judgmental to me, too. It leads one to other self conclusions.
Shame to a Narcissist is repugnant. Shame to a person with BPD is a bed to wallow. It's what you do with shame and self shame that makes the difference. It is not YOUR shame, it's the shame of the perpetrators who've emotionally tortured you. You wear THEIR shame and you've done nothing wrong.
As long as you can remind yourself that YOU"VE DONE NOTHING WRONG, (you will learn this mantra over time), you may be able to withstand the internal and external assaults on your life.
My thinking is to place our pain and suffering into a cosmic sense, in that, over time and across this vast world of ours...our pain and suffering is but nothing. It's an inside job, actually...after the fact of others hurting us and programming us to hurt ourselves.
