In 2011 I was admitted to a psychiatric hospital for two weeks for suicidal ideations. While there I was diagnosed with BPD. I thought that the diagnosis was bogus and so did my mom and husband. Now I am realizing that it is an issue. I feel like my world has been turned upside down. All of these feelings that I thought were normal I am realizing are a bit much. I thought this was normal. I've struggled with depression and PTSD in the past. For the most part I think I have it managed, but this past week I've been feeling really depressed. I feel like I am losing my best friend and that scares me so much. I can't lose this person. I've been so stupid. I pushed her away simply because she didn't respond to a few of my texts. I thought she was done with me I guess. I was scared so I ran. I feel like I have lost a sense of who I am. I have no idea what I am doing half the time. I'm so confused and exhausted. What am I to do? How do I cope?
Hi I am new to this group and I am really struggling with relatownship prblems too, I have no answers but I share the same problems with people not answering phones or texting till the next day or not at all. I really feel ur struggles and I need some answers too.
Hello. My mother has bpd and I'm still struggling to understand it
I had to break all contact with her and I miss her so it's a struggle. She too would get upset of I didn't react to her the right way or ignore her when I couldn't take it anymore. Even though she pushed me away, I would love it if she reached out to me. If you apologize to your friends or loved ones in your life that you don't mean to push away and explain what you are going through, I'm sure they would understand. The great thing is that you are aware that you have bpd. My mother will not admit it or acknowledge it at all. There is a saying, forgiveness is always offered, but you have to ask for it. Let your friends and loved ones know that you appreciate them and you are trying. With love there is understanding. Blessings to you.
