So here it goesâ?¦..
You must realise that life is a gift that has been given to you. Picture life as a big present that has been given to you by a higher power (whether that be god or whoever you believe in).
Imagine opening the present.... as you open the big present of life, you discover an array of smaller gifts that are inside. Each one of these gifts are different shapes and sizes, some you like more than others, some you find difficult to accept. However, these are the tools that have been given to you for your journey through life.
You must try and accept these gifts (or tools) and realise that they are a part of you and they make up who you are.
If people find it difficult to accept your gifts, then they are not worth your time as they refuse to see the loving, useful and compassionate human being that exists.
You may perceive your dyslexia as a gift you dislike because it has made it difficult for you to feel 'normal' in this world. Everyone has gifts that make them feel abnormal, and we decide to hate them so much that the hate and anger ends up consuming our lives, over shadowing all our other gifts.
However, once we become accepting of all our gifts, then we can start to become at peace with ourselves and 'just be'.
If spelling is not your strong point, accept that you have tried your best and now move on and nurture some of your other talents that you possess. It may help if you can get someone that you trust to write them down for you, so your talents are easier to visualize and you could even share them in this group:). You should also think strongly about what you really love about yourself and what you love to do; meditate upon these thoughts everyday to remind yourself that your life has a special purpose. It may be a little challenging and confronting to do at first (it was for me), but it will help you realise that you can utilise your gifts to be useful and helpful towards others and that you have an amazing potential to exist as a loving human being on this earth!!
Now, breathe in deeply, stand up tall and strong and open yourself to the world!!! Allow all your gifts to penetrate through your body and like waves ripple out into the universe. This is you. This is who you are. Accept and love yourself!!
So Syna, I hope this will help you. Please e-mail me if you would like to talk some more; I am learning too so I would be honoured to share any of my newfound knowledge with you to help you on your journey.
Peace x

Unless you need to spell accurately for your job, I wouldn't angonize over it. Lot of bad spellers get by just fine.
If what you are writing or typing really needs to be spelled correctly, use an email form, and then use spell check. It may not catch everything, but it should catch enough so you can be more comfortable with what you are sending. If you can not send what you've written in email form, cut and paste it into the format you are using - like this "Add Reply" spot.
I have no idea if all who have dyslexia have trouble spelling, but I would guess you aren't the only one. Just remember: What you have to say is more important than how you spell it.
BTW:
I saw an interesting email about how the brain perceives the written word. Seems no matter how badly words were spelled, as long as the 1st and last letters of a word are in their proper places, the brain has no trouble understanding what it is seeing.
The eye/brain connection is a wonderful thing. Brain isn't interested in spelling, either - just the content. LOL Check this mish mash out - trick is to read it quickly.
