I am not reading any books now am reading the newspaper, magazines, and the yellow pages of the phone book. I have to read every day. sometimes I just cant find any book that I want to read. I do re read books, a lot. I recently re read THE FIRM by John Grisham

A word child by Iris Murdoch. I have read other books by her and love her writing.

New book I just finished...The Fall of Anne Boleyn. Even if you are not a history addict you might enjoy this book.
I read a book once that was set in Tudor times in Elizabeth’s point of view. I don’t remember the tittle but it fascination with the Tudors. I then became fascinated by Anne. I found her persistence and strength admirable and amazing. The more I read about her the more I felt I could relate to her! She was a strong woman, she had strong faith, she was not afraid to be herself. I hated how every source I seem to read vilified her and made her out to be every mans nightmare wife. But where male historians saw a manipulative vocal woman who did not know her “place”, I saw a woman with the courage, strength, faith, and inner beauty that caught a beast of a kings attention for over 6 years. She was that woman everyone lived to hate but she never let that deter her. And I applaud her even now. I will forever keep her memory alive by speaking of her to others.

I love history Jade66, that book sounds interesting about Anne Boleyn. I am now reading THE 5 LOVE LANGUAGES by Gary Chapman-about relationships and what you need from them

A friend of mine gave me SIDE EFFECTS by Nancy Fisher. It is a medical mystery dealing with
a new drug created and obviously has some serious side effects.

I'm usually reading at least two books at any given time. Right now: Lost Dogs by Jim Gorant and The Fulfillment of all Desire by Ralph Martin...

brokenbutte I loved Corrie Ten Boom. Now that is a book about overcoming adversity and moving on. I can't imagine how many women she is touched through her bible study ministry. Bible Study Fellowship.

I just read "What Alice Forgot" and "The Midwife's Confession". Both were really good. I just started "The Lies We Told" by Diane Chamberlain (who also wrote The Midwife's Confession). I have recently joined a book club and they are getting me to read books I never would have otherwise picked up. I'm really enjoying them.

Usually I read murder mysteries and such. A dark book I recently read was 13 1/2 by Nevada Barr. It was a great book, but really dark. I also like Guilty Wives by James Patterson.
