Love to read from my iPad. Yes I discover new authors.

Sometime I read a book and find profound life lessons. That is when I wish I owned the book so I could go back and read those things again. I also find that reading Ebooks goes faster for some reason.

I just finished "N" is for noose by Sue Grafton and am beginning "Hide and Seek" by James Patterson. I got both of these books @ Goodwill for .95 each. Yay me!

Ebooks do go faster, but I am old school and like the hard copies. I underline or highlight a lot in certain books if they quote something I really like or as you said, the profound life lessons. I have about 5 books on my phone (Kindle App.) and need to read them or else delete.

What are you reading now?

My husband bought me the first edition of the nook for our first Christmas together. And I love it immensely. And I have discovered new authors as well. And every Friday I get a free book. I also love that I can carry thousands of books in my purse and not feel overloaded. My nook allows me to highlight certain passages too. I also love that I can adjust the text size of the books. Right now (and I am not proud to admit) I am reading Fifty Shades of Grey (a friend of mine suggested it) and the books do seem like they go by quicker.

i love paper back the best! but my kindle fire is growing on me

I am hoping Santa will bring me a Kindle or Kindle Fire~~I do love the app. on my phone but would love to be able to load more books. One can never have too many books in my opinion!

terrastephy not read Fifty Shades yet but want to. octoberashes do you also access internet from your Kindle Fire? My niece has one and now her hub has taken it over pretty much just to get online!!

Are kindles expensive? Where do you get them? Judy

I was unsure about a kindle because I have always loved to hold the books in my hand but .... we cannot fit any more books into the flat. So I bought a kindle and I love it. I can't read from my iPad because it is too heavy as I have arthritis in my hands. I'm not reading at the moment as I am weighed down with work as I am in my last year at uni.

I usually read crime novels or I read old favourites as they are not hard work!

I am not sure that I would like to get text books on it but otherwise I am really happy with my Kindle! Mine cost £109 plus the case.

Ps I got a paperwhite Kindle and I like it better than the Fire but it's a matter of taste I suppose!!

judylefavour1 you can get a kindle @Amazon.com or also at stores like Office Max etc. Prices vary and Amazon often has them on sale. I haven't gotten one due to lack of $$$ but hope that will change. I just finished reading We'll Never Tell on my kindle app. Very good book and by an author I never heard of. Now reading Heart of the Country. If you are curious about these books just go to Amazon.com and read the reviews. That is what I do before I download to my Kindle App. I get the free books and some are by well known authors.

Gabbygal I am reading Fragile by Lisa Unger. Still checking out free and and downloading from library. Just found out I can get some books free from Amazon. I will download Kindle App on iPad.

hippytoo I just downloaded a free book to my Kindle App a few minutes ago. I have read tons of books on that app. and never paid a penny yet. I love it.

Gabby girl just downloaded Weird Sisters on Overdrive App from library.

I am reading Air Frame by Michael Crichton. Got it at a Goodwill store for $3.00. I am familiar with him only because of the movies Jurassic Park etc. This is a very good read. I luck out a lot of times at the Goodwill store on books and find some great hardbacks.
