Judgement and discrimination over body mods

Do you think that society judges or discriminates people with body mods now a days? Of course there is going to be some judgement but when it comes to just talking to a person with body mods or any alters to their appearance? I only ask because I can't seem to find anyone to connect with and I get asked if it's because of my "unique look". I don't know, is it? I know I'm a pretty girl but why is it that I can't find anyone? What can I do to change it? Any one have any ideas as to why?

My husband isagianst it, an i am for it. He is a sraight frorward normal man , but i am into it. He says people who do this have image an mental problems, like they dont love themselves, were i dont see it thatway. I think the body is beautiful, male or female, with tats or peirces. So i understand you, he say even people with differant hair colors means ssomething is wrong, that they are in pain. But i jst see it as a art. I accept it , were as he cat or wont. But me anhim are differnt but I love him

That is unfortunate that your husband feels that way AngieBettin, I know some people do. My parents were not thrilled when I first started getting them, but at this point they've just accepted that I'm an adult and given up.

I can't tell you how many times I've dressed in long-sleeved button down shirts in 90 degree global warming summers for office job where i couldn't show my tattoos. Now that i don't work anymore that pressure is off, but I know some workplaces do discriminate in hiring people with tattoos, even as prevalent as they are these days.

It's unfortunate. i hope that eventually, perhaps when the millennial are grown up, everyone will have them and society will become more accepting.
