It's...painful

Idk why, but since I broke up with my girlfriend last phil (she was too ashamed to be with me), I have been experiencing more and more panic.

I am just afraid that I will never find love in this hetero world. I do like guys, but there is a very strong possibility the love of my life will be a woman. I live in Massachusetts, so I won't have any less of the experience. I can legally marry whoever I choose and have children with her. But it's sill scary.

I'm bombarded with images of female/male couples and it makes me panic. What if I never find love? What if my family doesn't work out? etc...I was fine when I was with my gf because it really didn't matter then- I had her and everything was right. Now it's easier for it to hit me what it means to go through life being bisexual.

I have never experienced even an ounce of disdain from ANYONE about being the way I am. I know rationally, with the area I live in, my life will be what I want it to, but the fear takes over.

Can anyone relate?

Aww,don't panic. Panicing gets you no where i used to worry about never finding love but now i've just accepted the fact that love will be out there for me somewhere, but it just takes time. It seems like you still love or are still in love with your girlfriend. That takes time to get over to, but one day you will find the girl of your dreams but it just takes time. im still looking for mine so your not alone with that one lol. i hope this some-what helps:)

i've experienced similar things in my hetero relationships (have not had a homosexual relationship yet, but i am bisexual). i've had people i've dated promise me "i'm not going back to my ex" and then bam, they are cheating on me with them. so i can understand the pain you are feeling hun. and it's a pain that does not go away easily (it's been 6 years since my first love and i still hurt every day because of it). i'm here if you need to talk or vent hun

I've been in your shoes before. There were many periods in my life when I thought I was going to end up being alone for the rest of my life. For me, anyway, I've found love. I'm currently in a relationship (my longest yet) with a person I consider the man of my dreams. We're looking at getting married either next year or the year after. Anyway, love takes time. It took me 3 years and countless unhappy relationships to find the person I'm with today.

Right now, everything looks bleak because you just broke up with your girlfriend. If you've dated her a while, it's going to take some time for you to mend your heart. It's especially going to take time because of the terms on which she ended the relationship. She was ashamed of you which can be an extremely hurtful thing to deal with. It's going to take time for you to bounce back and look for someone who actually deserves to be with you and who isn't going to be embarrassed to be with you.

I have had no relationships with either sex but I can say this: everyone feels the way you do at some point in their life be them straight/bi/gay what have you. Just stick in there, you will find that special someone. Time is wonderful, you just have to let it pass. Be happy. Someone will love you and she (or he) will be someone very lucky.
