I have also been told in my church that being anything other than straight was a straight road to hell. But after researching and studying the Bible myself I have discovered that it does not exactly say what we are taught it says. Not completely anyway. There are other people who will tell you I am still reading it too strictly

I also felt that my church would kick out my family if they found out, however my church still welcomes me completely even though everyone knows everything about me.

I know this is a hard time for you, and it's hard enough to deal with figuring out your bi/gay/whatever, but then to have to reconcile your faith also is really tough. Give me a visit on my other site, read what I have posted, (it's a new page so I'm the only poster so far), discuss with me the issues with your faith. But use this board for the issues of your sexuality. I look forward to having discussions with you.

I too struggled for a long time. I was married for 29 years and loved my wife very much. I loved woman more than I loved men but still had the urge/need to be with a man. I did find another married man who felt the same way as I while I was married. We developed a relationship and we became intimate. I struggle with my religion and just my moral values all together but we had so much in common and every time I would be him whether it was 20 min a day just saying hello and talking with each other I felt renewed. Unfortunately my wife found out about it in a way that she didn't deserve. We talked for days and hours about it and she told me she was not willing to share me with anyone, whether man or woman. I broke it off with this wonderful man and tried to make it work with with my wife. She told me for 3 years she was moving forward and wanted to make it work but I found out awhile later that she was just saying that for the sake of the kids. We ended the marriage for many reasons including my affair with this guy. Afterwards obviously I had a lot of time to think and I came to realize what I had felt for many years, that I am bisexual. I am learning to live with that fact and I finding out different things about myself as well. I was raised that homosexuality is a sin and I know what the bible states regarding this matter but truly feel that I am one of God's children and this is how I was made by the creator of all. Even though I am free to do as I please I have not leaped into a relationship with a man/woman. I am taking the time to learn who I am and how I want to move forward with my life. I live daily in my faith and I pray about this all the time. I believe that times have changed and life is not what it was when the bible was written and I believe that I need to be who I was meant to be but one small step at a time. I now know who I am and I have finally decided that I can live with that but the next step for me is to figure out how to form my future with what I have not learned to accept. I think for me I have to be who I was meant to be. I believe in God and believe I was made this way for a reason and that I need to embrace it. I have not shared who I am with my church as of yet but luckily my church is open to loving all people no matter who you may be. Good luck my friend and if you need to chat feel free to message me. I am going through the same thing as the person on reply #2. I feel for him so much. I have been married for 25 years and have kids. I have struggled with my sexuality for all of my life as far back as when I was less then 10 years old. About 2 years ago I truly have accepted who I am. I am Bisexual. I enjoy being with a man both intimately and as a friend. It feels so right for me. So natural. It is who I am and I have accepted that my LORD has been me this way. I don't know what the future holds for me but to tell you the truth, if my marriage does not survive I plan to be who I am. I care very much how my family and friends feel but I have to be who I am.
