I share your frustrations. Sometimes I feel like being bi makes me less of a person and that I am less entitled to love. Luckily I am married to an amazing woman that reassures me of her love regularly.

I don't think people that are not bi will ever understand what it is like to be torn between dual attraction. But if you find someone that truely loves you for who you are they will try to understand you.

P.S. don't apologize for the way you feel. Those are your emotions and you are entitled to them.

use this board as support if you need it. you know that the people here aren't going to think anything bad of you. i think the vast majority of this board here are very good people who are willing to lend an ear, a shoulder, a couple of hugs, whatever you need. if you ever need someone to talk to, i'm here

There are people who will love you that aren't bi! No worries! My husband is straight and has known I'm bi since we first met. He never had an issue with it and still doesn't. I was raised to loathe myself...so his undying acceptance and love really keeps me trying to accept and love myself :)
don't give up on people!

I understand how you feel. I am beginning to develop criteria for the new people I may want to have in my life. One is that they don't care about how I look. The other is that they know and understand about my sexual orientation. I am bi. But I am not a swinger (I find a lot of people get turned on because they think you'll do kinky things). I believe in monogamy and want someone who believes in it too. I have learned the hard way that you have to shop through life like you're in a store. You meet people and you know what you want in a person-and whoever doesn't fit this can wait for someone else. You be clear to yourself-and state that clearly to those you choose to tell. You have to find those who "get" or accept you. That should be criteria number one.

I tried (quite successfully) to ignore my bi side for over 10 years. Then again, I didn't date at all, or even really look for those years, so I suppose you could say I ignored my straight side, too!

Anyway, I recently became friends with someone who "gets it"... I mean REALLY understands what I struggle with as he has the same struggles with sexuality that I do. Before I met him I felt like I had to hide that side of me.

So yes, it is sad when you feel alone. BUT... there ARE others out there who are just like you. It may take some effort to find them, but they do exist!
