Bisexuality Support Group
Bisexuality is a sexual orientation which refers to the aesthetic, romantic, and/or sexual attraction of individuals to other individuals of both their own and the opposite gender or sex. Most bisexuals are not equally attracted to men and women, and may even shift between states of finding either sex exclusively attractive over the course of time.
i like this girl a lot, who is sister of a good friend. We almost dated. When I was working on dating her, I realized that I like men more than women. So I came out as gay. Go few rejections, actually fewer than what I anticipated. I ignored the critics and focussed on the accepting friends and family. I cannot try to date women anymore since now the whole town knows I am gay. So be it.
Just try to enjoy you life with those who accept you. Things will fall into place. It seems hard at the beginning, but things get better. there will be ups and down, but sooner or later things calm down.
People who seem rejecting will eventually come around if they love you. If they don't, then you know who is there for you and who is not.
Hope this helps at least a bit.
Big hug.
Andy
You mentioned being a minister, I'm not a minister, but I have always been extremely spiritual (not religious, but spiritual), and I have a very strong faith in God. I would sit in a gay bar and argue the existance of God. I would lay in bed with a man (or men), and discuss my beliefs, and how I could have faith when most of the church as a whole, is against homosexuality. I was lucky I would go to a gay bar Saturday night, and play the piano at church Sunday morning, sometimes in the same clothes, and arrived with the same man, I went to the bar with. The whole church knew about my sexuality, my dad often asked for prayer for me to leave that life. However not the first time was anything said, about how I lived and loved. I was not looked down on the first time, so I was able to maintain my faith the entire 7 years I lived as a gay man. I was also asked to speak to a group of 10 missionaries about homosexuality and the scripture. When I "went straight" and got married, no one said anything about me leaving that life. I know I was lucky, most people don't have the support I had, and that is sad. I believe that it is something that is changing slowly.
If you want to, please email me, and I can give you some verses that support a homosexual being spiritual.
If you follow your bible and what should be your beliefs according to your scripture you are suppose to call sin just what it is, sin. That is
in itself making a judgement. If your church is a bible believing church then you should know what to expect. What ever they say should be done with love and understanding. As for you, search your scripture, Gods words, not mans acceptance or criticisms. And as far as "why you" don't forget, Moses was a murderer, God chose him too.
