Hi. Back in june I started to have panic attacks mistaking them for irregular blood sugars. WHne I went to see my psych she said I was under a great amount of stress and put me on Risperidone. I took it as prescribed and a week later she was laid off from her practice. It didn't help my anxiety and panic attacks at all. It has come to the point I'm afraid to drive especially alone so I do my best to schedule things when I can have somebody with me> Today I saw my family doctor and explained my situation and that I was not only experiencing side effects but it wasn't helping my anxiety or panic attacks at all> she has taken me off of Risperidone and has prescribed me Zoloft> I hear it works great for anxiety and depression, and my doctor thinks that Zoloft may be the answer for me.
In the past I have heard though that bipolars shouldn't take antidepressants< i'm feeling hopeful and anxious at the same time. Has anyone taken Zoloft and it help and not throw them into an episode??

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

Zoloft is the gold standard in treating anxiety in children. My child has been taking it along with therapy for this matter for a couple years now. She is doing great and we hope to lower her dose and take her off completely in the future.
Also exposure therapy is what is used for anxiety. Doing things afraid. The definition of courage is doing something anyways even if fear is present. You have to start small and build up. It really works.
Good luck with your treatment :)
