I just started zoloft. It immediated started to work however it was a little unexpected since it was assumed it would take up to a few months to have an affect and being it's at 25MG I really was skeptical about it's effectiveness.
Anyway, hours after taking it and over time I'm having sudden bursts of hyperness and playfullness. I find it hard to sit still sometimes or to be "calm" and tend to act very immature so to speak.
How long should this continue? When should I tell my doctor?
Thanks
PS I was a little confused too why she's give me zoloft.

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

I'm writing down notes on my moods so when I get home I will call my doctor and see what she thinks. She did ask me about trying Depakote before but I chose zoloft because of the side effects.
Again..right now its only been a few days so I'll wait a few more and keep track of my moods. I'm not as depressed as before but last night I did have a moment when I wasn't very happy.
Thanks again!
For some, it maybe a problem even with a mood stabilizer.

under Causes - it says this:
"SSRIs, such as fluoxetine (Prozac).[8] It has also been documented with the use of paroxetine (Paxil).[5] Akathisia has been studied as the mechanism by which SSRI-induced suicidality occurs.[8] "
It's time to call the doctor!
I'm procrastinating around calling my doctor. I'm more willing to just wait for my next appointment to tell her in a month. Ugh..
