I booked a round trip ticket to Baltimore from Omaha NE for $230. My girlfriend came here for the same price. I signed up for Delta skymiles, so every Delta flight adds to the miles. I am at 800 miles already. Our distance is 1800 miles, so in no time I will have earned enough miles for a free flight. The major key to the low price is time. I booked her tickets to me 3 months in advance. Mine to her 2 months in advance. Seeing new places is rather invigorating. Ok, I know a bunch of you will tell me that you can't afford, so I'll say this one thing and then shut up. If you really want to do something, you will do it.

Southwest points are the best. I travel ALL the time for work and have found that the quickest and most free tickets you will receive are from Southwest.

Also if you have a Southwest Mastercard you get points every time you use it. You can get free tickets before you even fly....

That's a good suggestion. I need a change of scenery. I keep having dreams about rock climbing, which I haven't done for a long time, and sky diving, which I burn to do. I should go out west and just do it. swoosh.

i've noticed that a lot of flights I've booked include Southwest. I like them as an airline too. Thanks for the suggestion, TourGuide, I'll look into it. :)

I like to travel, too. I bought furniture lately instead, though. Though sitting on a chair would be more comfortable than a stack of photos!!! LOL!! You're right though. If you really want to, you can do most anything....even if it takes a long time to save up for it. :)

l am its what keps me sorted l think so every few months l'm off somewhere l'm going back to belfast for a tall ship event it looks amazing, it does help that air travel is so cheap l flew to dublin for 1 plus airport tax and belfast for free. Bring on the cheap trans atlantic tickets they want to do those for 30 america here l come

we haven't travelled in years except to drive up north every month or so. we do buy tickets to bring the girls out to visit us, they are our vacation. in less than 2 weeks the oldest and my precious grandson will be here (her husband is in afghanistan) we saw the middle one in january with our sweet baby(her husband was in training for work). we are flying K out here on delta, don't know if dh could have signed up for delta miles, maybe it is too late.

I would love to travel. I'd like to get an RV and travel all around the USA.

With the economy, there is an RV for sale in every yard where I live. Too bad I still can't afford one.

I just past up my chance for a summer vacation because it would mean being with my in-laws. I'll have to be content with reading about various places.
