Can i work after my app. is submitted? I know I shouldnt mentally. but i have bills to pay. what am i supposed to do?

Some people say if you're able to work it's proving you don't really need SSDI and it will hurt your case. I'd ask your lawyer but I'd bet you'ld be told not to..

the doc and the hospital wanted me to apply but i cant just not pay my rent etc. i just dont know wht to do. its all so confusing.

No you can't work legally, but you can work under the table. And you can get SDI, I think that is what it is called. State Disability Income, money you get if you were working during the time of the disability.

honestly, try to get some under the table work. Social Security will tell you you can work then they use it to deny you

U should not work after application submission.
They will find out.
Unless u find a job that pays you cash.

Iwas working part time while my SSDI was going in for approval,I worked 10/15 hrs a week..All I had to prove ,was I was unable to sustain full time work because of being BipolarOf course I was turned down 1st try,reapplied immediately(no Atty's) and was approved in about 15 months,from date of my first application

.I still have the same parttime job...if you have questians..call your local SS office and get a straight answer..everybody here always has diff experiences and advice from their Atty's....go straight to the horses mouth(so to speak) and ask SS directly.
