Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hey guys. I am thinking of getting a little part-time job.............if I can find one with the economy being so bad. I was wondering if any of you are on SSDI and work at the same time? I think you are allowed to make $900 or so dollars a month before you are penalized or anything. Will they start trying to make you work full-time and get off SSDI if you do get a part-time job? I need and want to do this, but am kinda scared. I don't trust the government!! LOL. I appreciate any help that can be offered up.

I wonder how working part time affects a review.
Anyway, I just remembered that I got a lot of help and answers from this disability yahoo group:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Disinissues/
The moderator and creator is on SSDI and actually worked for SSA doing disability claims at one point. She runs a really tight ship and moderates every post, so be very specific and read her posting rules.
I believe this group helped me a lot with my claim.
I think the truth is that most or many disabled people can work a little, just not enough to support themselves or keep up a certain pace or be able to hold down a position that requires you to be there at certain times and for certain amounts. It really has to work out right for the individual.
My problem is pace.
